SUN Day

Yesterday was so nice;
and then of course it's cold and rainy today.
But Marcus & I soaked it in by playing outside all day!
Drawing on the sidewalk, riding bikes, feeding dogs and playing with the ball.
However, he needed his "shades" to block the sun you know. And his hair was up in a pony tail because he was so hot!
I thought it was cute. Very TVA livin!!

How to Shower

Ok, so here is a change in post!
I got this e-mail a little while ago from my best friend,
and I couldn't stop laughing-because of the truth behind it!
*Tell me it wasn't right on, and that your husband doesn't do the
woo-woo dance at you! c`mon!
HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A WOMAN:
Take off clothing and place it in sectioned laundry hamper according to lights and darks.
Walk to bathroom wearing long robe.
If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.
Look at your womanly physique in the mirror make mental note to do more sit-ups/leg-lifts, etc.
Get in the shower. Use wash cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone.
Wash your hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins.
Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean.
Condition your hair with grapefruit mint conditioner.
Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for10 minutes until red.
Wash entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash.
Rinse conditioner off hair.
Shave armpits and legs.
Rinse off.
Turn off shower.
Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower.
Spray mold spots with Tilex.
Get out of shower.
Dry with towel the size of a small country.
Wrap hair in super absorbent towel.
Return to bedroom wearing long robe and towel on head.
If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.
HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A MAN:
Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile.
Walk naked to the bathroom. If you see wife along the way, shake wiener at her making the woo-woo sound.
Look at your manly physique in the mirror.
Admire the size of your wiener and scratch your butt.
Get in the shower.
Wash your face.
Wash your armpits.
Blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off.
Fart and laugh at how loud it sounds in the shower.
Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area.
Wash your butt, leaving those coarse butt hairs stuck on the soap.
Wash your hair. Make a Shampoo Mohawk.
Pee.
Rinse off and get out of shower.
Partially dry off.
Fail to notice the water on floor because curtain was hanging out of tub the whole time.
Admire wiener size in mirror again.
Leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, and light and fan on.
Return to bedroom with towel around waist.
If you pass wife, pull off towel, shake wiener at her and make the woo-woo sound again.
Throw wet towel on bed.

Jr Fire Fighter-Eastside Fire & Rescue

Today our ABC School/Play Group that we attend took a
field trip to the Neighborhood Fire & Rescue Building.
We got to go in the fire trucks,
meet real firemen,
and learn a lot about what they do to protect us!
Marcus LOVED the TRUCKS and
is now an official JR. FIRE FIGHTER!

Little Opihi

Ok guys, so I opened an ETSY account called Little Opihi
I named it that because of Marcus, my little opihi!
I am pretty new and will continue to list items and make it nice;
but I am currently featuring
Hawaiian Print Flowers for your hair,
and
some cute baby slings that you can custom order.
I will also be featuring cute sling bags
and adorable little hula girl skirts and outfits.

Thanks for looking!
Enjoy

OPIHI: The Hawaiian word for Limpet or sea water snails.
It is a rare, expensive delicacy that is very difficult to remove
because they stick to the coral and rocks.
{Inspired by clingy little Marcus}

Bubble Time With Daddy

I forgot to post this, it was just too cute!

Happy Easter

Little airplane fanMiles and Marcus (Best Friends)Marcus and Daddy blowing bubbles.Marcus' Easter Basket! (Cameron was so excited he got it all!)My Easter Basket! (Cameron surprised me with a nice basket! He even bought me Peanut butter cups!!! That's how much he loves me-he bought me something that would kill him!!!)Excited about bubbles! Easter outfit! Unfortunately Easter Sunday was rainy (what's new) but we still had fun! Saturday we went to the big egg hunt block party in our community where Marcus found 1 of 2 "golden eggs". He won a stuffed bunny, but gave it away to his girlfriend from church! Cameron's family came to church with us and we had a great weekend!

Big Boy Bed

Wednesday night Marcus slept in his new big boy bed.
He was so excited, he picked the sheets, and spent most of the day playing on it.
Then he jumped on it, and I even saw him reading books.
However, that first night took about 2 hours before he fell asleep.
Even though he still wears shoes at night, it didn't stop him from
scooting out of his room and into the living room.
I thought it would never end!
BUT, last night was much easier, asleep in 10 minutes,
I knew that I had to go to bed early because he is now mobile.
And sure enough 8:15 this morning he scooted into my room and woke me up!
Now, if I can teach him to take his shoes off,
poor his own cereal and turn the cartoons on, we'll be set!

OBSESSED!

Today Marcus got a pair of slippers to welcome in the warmer weather and he is so obsessed with them...because they are Lightning McQueen!! He wore them out the store, talked about them the whole ride home (or maybe talked to them), had to hold the box they came in, ate lunch with them on and then ate lunch with them. He even tried to take a nap with them and that's when I had to draw the line. But they are pretty cool!

ZOO DAY

Loungin!

The monkey got super close

He wasn't scared of this bird, in fact, it was very thirsty!

I want you all to keep in mind that earlier last week it snowed here in wonderful Washington. Yes, SNOW! With that said, when we were told that only a few days later there was a high chance of a beautiful day of sun and 70 degree weather, you had to only assume that people were swarming the streets! Which means don't get mad at large crowds, cancel all appointments, and off to the park. Or in our case, last-minute, spur-of-the-moment trip to the Woodland Park Zoo. This place is huge, but it sure was lots of fun. I only wish I took more pictures of Marcus marveling over all the "dogs" in the zoo!!

Face Plant

Yesterday my poor little baby took his first real spill. He was walking down the stairs outside when he fell and caught his fall with his face. It happened so fast and broke my heart when I saw his poor little face. Don't worry he is a champ and doing fine. He hasn't seen it, so he doesn't even know it's there! Poor buddy!
At least he is still happy!

Burda Style

Lately I have been "crafting" all of these fun projects.

Unfortunately, it consumes me (i mean, still in my pajamas consumes) but more importantly, the ENTIRE house!

I recently found this website that I absolutely LOVE!

It is called BurdaStyle,

and it is a place to swap or buy patterns and show others what you have made.

I found this pattern for FREE (gotta LOVE FREE stuff)

printed it and made this adorable "Charlie" bag!
{the fabric i bought from IKEA and lined it with blue scaps from Marcus' curtains!}
